Someone please tell me that arguing about screenshots looking better and this and that looks rougher and this pixel is out of line, and that looks blurry and...blah...please tell me that you're taking the piss! Jesus Christ, the game looks good no matter what. You're not going to stop to notice when you're playing the fooking thing. I have a supposed weak 5200FX and it runs half-life 2 well enough with everything set to high detail and it looks great to me, plus I get an adverage of 45-50 fps which is well smooth looking. Bio's you need to get out more, kid. It doesn't matter if it looks "slightly" better or runs "slightly" smoother, because as long as it plays well and looks well, then happy days! O, and that ATI 9800 pro thing: it doesn't beat modern technology in a new card such as a 6800. Sorry, but no arguments there.
As for the vid, I noticed that too. The ant lion thing looks more shiny. I remember running across the roof and thinking "arn't those slates meant to be gleaming more?" when I rememberd the demo. But it's something to do with the angle of light or something in the game. When things face or are set in dark areas you do see that gleam. I just think the vid was showing it off a bit more than normal just to show how things can and do look in the game. Either way, the game looks class. I ain't complaining.

WELL look above at the second last screen shot posted......lets see if he can match 60 fps with that detail level cranked like that? clearly 9800 pro is owning the 6800(in half life 2)......sorry if Nvidia told you thier card is so amazing, clearly its not that much better now is it?.....ATI rocks the house boys!! ;)
