No, you don't really need a driver cleaner ... because when he gets his card from the shop he gets drivers that are the best for the card, but they are old.
Therefore, what you need to do is simply install one of the drivers I posted. That way you won't lose any of the manufacture drivers information. (In some cases, they are very important)
