hi i got sims 2 for christmas and i did install directx 9. i guess my dad said that we needed some kind of driver *no idea what he's talking about* installed so he installed it supposidly. but it still won't work!! it gives me these messages "the ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working normally. save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality. the next time you reboot the machine a dialog will be displayed giving you a chance to upload data about this failure to microsoft." i have no clue what the heck they are talking about lol i'm not the computer wiz in the family. but behind that mesage was this one "the graphics adapter in this system experienced an internal error. please contact your graphics adapter to manufacturer for technical support the application will now terminate." and again no idea what the heck there talking about. so heres my information:

but in that first message it says that thingy with ialmrnt5, i found a driver thing right next to the box where i got all that info up there. i'm not sure if you'll need that info but if you do i'll give it to you. i really hope you can help me but my neighbor fixed 2 of my friends sims 2 games so it has to be fixable. i'm not really friends with him so i didn't really wanna ask him but if worst comes to worst i will. thanks for taking time to read this thing lol its pretty long but i hope you can help me. if you would like to email me your post please do! i don't check these things often but send me it in an email and post it too.my email is lilsiskirb@aol.com.
