Unfortunatly there is nothing that will fix this problem apart from a Graphics card (that supports DirectX 9C ).

Onboard graphics are great for watching swirly things go round on your screen while listening to music, but not a lot else

The Sims2 is a very CPU and Graphics card intensive game. You need a good system to run it well.

I would advise at least 2Gig processor, 1Gig Ram, 9800 (pro/XT) and a decent sound card. I have heard of people sorting out the graphics problems, only to find out the onboard sound is causing problems aswell. ;)

People will tell you that The Sims2 will run on less of a machine, and yes it will, but it wil run very poorly with regular stuttering and slowdown

It sems to me that this game is more hassle than it's worth. the amount of people that can't run it for one reason or another is amazing.
