yeah well, i remember quake 3 had an awesomely stable engine, even on low-grade computers. i can understand Valve had some interest in it.

well, a rewrite is i think a darn hard job. accounting for everything isn't something you do everyday, if you know what i mean.

so i don't blame em, they delivered one helluva piece of gaming goodness...
