Pretty nice article that is. Culture critic Susan Faludi actually won the war on beautiful American women, obesity is the number one healthproblem there. They where everywhere when i visited the states. No wonder Americans always claim they are the free nation, they just have to have a lot of room to move around :P

But seriously, she makes a point. This is just another example why there are so few women hardcore gamers. I dont think games are the main reason for a distorted vision of beauty though, Elle, Beaumonde and Cosmopolitan do a much better job at that one. Playboy: The Mansion, The Guy Game, and Singles: Flirt up your Life are ofcourse the best examples of sexual women in videogames but they are also a valid representation of the real world we live in. By that i mean that mags like Playboy and tvshows like Big brother are huge hits.

About the functionality of almost nude women in games, well if you put nude women in Bf2 as an experiment frag scores would go down immensly. They are often unnesicary but they sell games as shallow retouched women on the cover of Cosmo sell mags.

EDIT: btw, its nice to see a women here. There are so few, welcome!
