I work as a researcher at a university and we have done some research on the impact of violent movies on aggressive behaviour. And it does have an impact. After watching such movies, children become moody, cranky and even aggressive. It is not only imitating what they saw in the movie, like copying a cool karate move, but even their physical characteristics change: their adrenaline and blood pressure is higher. So yes, children do become more aggressive. But not all children. There is a statistical relation but it's not a perfect one: not everyone becomes more aggressive after watching such movies. So if somebody says that it doesn't affect him or his children, that is very well possible. But don't ignore that there are other people who are affected.
