And matrix copied from decades old John Woo movies. Wait! Metropolis had actors in it
and guess what: so did Matrix. What a copy. Matrix had actors that talks and music in it.
So did Godfather and A Fist Full Of Dollars ages before the matrix came out. RIP OFF!!
The Elite soldiers in FEAR likes to jump thru windows. They do it regardless if you shoot at
them or not. It's like bungee jumping but with broken glasses, once they jump out of the
window they jump right back and then out again. If there is no window they just run straigt
at you....only because the AI gets stuck at a barrel doesn't mean that it'S taking cover
because it's still widely exposed. Nice try to put it in as a feature thou.

My first impression of the game was that of a dull one. I know it is in beta, but alot of the models were killing me.
Some of them look as though they were pulled from HL1 not to mention the textures. But then again it is still in beta.
I found the reflective/mirrioring aspects of the game engine quite good, there nothing like seeing your own reflection in a pool of blood. The real time bullet hole inverse bump mapping I though was very good, though too many might be a shader hit, its a change fromt hose unrealalistic (for the most part) geometric real time bullet hole. The water Physics and appearance are well done, a medium between FARCRY and HL2. Not quite as realalistic looking as HL2, but not quite the physics of FARCRY. The lighting though not completely real time is done well. the character models and shading are slightly above par with the likes of DOOM3. The vocal animations are also done very well, if you mute your sound you can almost read there the characters lips.
The slomo mode combat is the best graphical feature this game has, the bullet trails look nice, the look is on que, I thought it was done very well. As far as general effects go (sparks, bump mapping ect.) theres nothing new and I cant complain.
~short and sweet~
textures 2/5
geometry 3/5
gfx effects 5/5
shader effects 5/5

I dont see why you guys need to pick away, and badger a game like this not saying that F.E.A.R is the best game ever, im just saying that its not cool to be pointing out flaws and logger.. alot of hard work was put into making a game... cant you just appreciate a game for what it is? i personally liked the demo.. it was intresting i didnt find the AI all that dumb.. i actually thought it was compairable to D3, Farcry, and maybe even HL2, they would push things over so i couldnt get through.. throw grenades at me.. they would also come at me in somewhat organized groups.. which i havent seen in a while.. and if i got a lil to close they would bash my ass to death..you could also hear them stratagizing ways to kill me.. which was kinda intresting. I havent noticed a game with a melee attack for a while... D3 didnt have it, HL2 didn't have it.. and Farcry didnt either.. i kinda like being able to bash people when ive ran out of bullets in my clip.. i used to do it in CoD all the time.. and the bullet time, or slowmo/matrix thing.. is so killer.. i love it its the perfect eye candy.. i couldnt be anymore pleased.. the weapons in the game are extreamly fun.. i like the "Type 7 partical rifle" i think its called?.. anyways when you fire that weapon it emits a purple beam which kind of looks like a jolt of lighting.. anyways when it hits your enemy it desinigrates the flesh of its victim in 1 shot.. which i got a kick out of.. kinda brough me back to D3 with the weapons, and the mines where pretty nice, like new age bouncing betteys. all in all i give the game a 8.5/10 its good, but could have been better.. the graphics look comparible to that of half life 2's but like someone commented earlier its between FarCry and HL2
well theres my 2 cents, feel free to criticize
