I reformatted my Windows XP back in August, and had a problem then. I forgot to burn all my drivers to a CD and thus had NO internet or anything. Well I got my internet back, but since then I have had NO LUCK playing ANY of my games. Diablo II, Counter-strike, or ANYTHING.
I REALLY need help as I don't know what the problem is. I downloaded a trial version of a driver-scanning program that said my video card has a non-updated driver but when I tried using Device Manager to update and the nrebooted my vid card had an error, so I rolled my driver back.
Whenever I open Counter strike 1.6 the screen loads but it takes FOREVER then it just freezes. I can't go to options, search servers, or ANYTHING. Whenever I try Diablo 2 it loads that "BLIZZARD" text and sound but then the whole screen goes white.
I just don't get it, it was PERFECT before I re-formatted and I got the drivers for my internet and everything. So does anybody know what drivers I need for my vid card?
I have:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.8GHz
512MB RAM
MSI MS-Starforce GeForce FX 5200 (128MB) card
Any help is appreciated...I REALLY want to play my games again!
