yes it is, and FEAR is cool too, I think Quake is much more fun, but FEAR is a better SP game, Go figure.
even though Quake has pretty damn good AI, FEARs is notably much better, there's very realistic animations when the enemies get hit, the the point that they'll limp if you unload a bit into their thigh, plus the enviroment is tearing apart under the gunfire and grenades. Better AI+So-mo+better story+amazing animations and responsiveness+the enviroment blowing up to peices makes it better then Quake4 in SP. But FEAR feels more like Doom3 though, solo wandering through hallways, seeing enemies every other room, and shit popping out in corners here and there, I just prefer the constant fragging in Quake4.
