Hey now,
I have always ignored celeron & non-desktop processors, but am looking to get my kid into a laptop with at least better performance than his current 2 ghz athlon (32 bit). Price, heat, and battery life point to the pentium m series, but I have also been advised that the m series 2 ghz chip will outperform a p4 up to 3.4 ghz for gaming. Is that right?

As a follow up, will geforce 6600 graphics outperform radeon 9800 pro?

Thanks!!
Yeah a AMD 2ghz, will unfortunetly beat a p4 3.4ghz, it is true , and as for the 6600 and the 9800Pro, ive looked at alot of benchmarks and comparisons between the 2, because i wanted to get a 6600 a while back but decided not to, and they are bascially the same card performance wise, and in some benchies the 9800Pro did better than the new 6600. So really its just a matter of who you like better, Nvidia or ATi.
