high def component (RGB cables) is probably fine and the general concensus is that your "average joe" will not notice a difference between HDMI/DVI or HD component output.

I would seriously wait until buying the 360 high dev dvi or vga connector cables until you try the RGB cables first. My guess is that you will happy with how they look and it won't cost you a dime.
