If the story is half as good as the original Half-Life's, then I will buy, not download (for once), but actually go out and BUY this game when it comes out. The graphics are beautiful, the models have improved a thousandfold, nothing looks too cartoony (which has become a big problem lately in a lot of newer PC games), and the environments seem a lot more varied than HL1's solitary Black Mesa/Xen settings.
My one criticism is that the pistol in one of the screenshots looks way too boxy, but then, it could be special type of handgun that I don't know about that's supposed to be boxy. I don't know. Either way, it's a small complaint.
I can't wait for this game! Here's hoping HL2 has just as huge a multiplayer/mod community as its predecessor. I'm almost quivering with anticipation at the thought of a new Team Fortress on this engine.
