I recently bought an sli mobo and an additional 6800 xt to make an sli computer (ofcourse I already own a 6800 xt to make it ;) )

I am currently looking for a new processor in the midrange price section, because I am also in the proces of pimping the house of me and the missus and can't afford everything at once.

The choice I want some advice on are the:
Athlon™ 64 3700+
Boxed, OPGA, "San Diego"
2200 MHz
1000 MHz
128 KB
1024 KB
€ 129,-

And:
Athlon™ 64 3800+
Boxed, OPGA, "Venice"
2400 MHz
1000 MHz
128 KB
512 KB
€ 149,-

I know the last is way faster but the first has a bigger L2 cache and is alot cheaper. What do you guys think?
