ok you guys gotta tell me if this is my vid card or my mobo causing the problem.
with out my gigabyte radeon x1300 pcie x16 card my puter boots and runs just fine on the onboard vid.
If i install the vid card it will not post and the lights on my dvd rom and cdrw drives flash like crazy and you cannot get them to open.
the mobo is an ecs761gx-m754
the power supply is a 20+4 pin hipro 500w.
so is my vid card dead or is it just not compatible?
