Well, I am flattered that I am quote worthy.

I should point out that the impact on small developers like us is a little different than EA etc.

As for CDV, it is going belly up. Not the North American one but the European one and it is very much due to finances/sales.


But seriously, why not do away with developers. Why not make it a hobby that people do in their spare time. That solves both sides. Your anti-DRM thing is all fine and well but your expectation is that people have no rights over their own creation. The logical choice is that people work for free with the understanding that they relinquish rights to their intellectual property. This is not without precedent either. There is tons and tons of free programs on the internet. It is a viable model so why not move gaming that way.

I see no problem with this at all. I believe that it even has precedent in the gaming world. There are indie companies that make free games.
