I was going to put this in the piss and moan section but, I thought it serve purpose here better. Most of you that have been keeping up with the 2142 release have probably heard a while ago about the demo being released for the people who preorder the game 24 hours ahead of the rest of us. Now, this was not a big deal as it was not released on a paysite first. Well, a few days ago it was speculated that the demo was going to be released yesterday to the preorder ppl and then today for all of us, however, this has changed.

Now, the dates are as follows:
Thursday, October 5th 12AM PST - EA Downloader
Friday, October 6th 9AM PST - GameSpot.com
Friday, October 6th 6PM PST - IGN.com
Satuday, October 7th - public


I have bitched about paysites getting demos first for a loooooong time so, I will try and keep this short. THIS IS INSANE! Not only did GS screw up the release of the bf2 demo, badly, Bf2 was pretty buggy at release, still is according to what I have been reading. EA tried to make up with the so called 'public' beta of 2142 to make the game less buggy at time of release. Seemed like a good thing to do but, most of us were bent over when the beta went to FP. Now, the demo, which I could have sworn was supposed to be released to help people decide if they want to buy the game, has to go thru three differnt places before it is to hit public servers.

I am not a marketing genius by any means but, this has gotta be the dumbest way ever to spread word about your game. Whoever came up with this should be fired! I really hope GH does not host this marketing disaseter
