well i got the board and some new memory everything is going fine cept one thing... i got the corsair xms series 1066 pc28500 ddr2 and its not seeming to run at the 1066 5-5-5-15 they state.. i hear its great mem and i can run it through 3dmark 06 at lower rates but not at 1066 stable. ive enable sli memory and disabled, enabled intel speed step and disabled it. linked and unlinked it threw extra volts to it and my fsb even. im starting to think this stuff aint workin good on my board or im missing something. cpu halt state disabled spp ref clock at 250 pci at 150.. cpu core at 3300 mhz 1.4v. gpu at 660 core 920 mem 8800gts.. i know the card isnt the problem i get fine marks when i turn down memory only..i can go higher on gpu actually but takin it easy for testing. my temps don t go over 60c on the cpu and maybe 65 on gpu. ive tried pushing 1.5 volts to the 2 bridges, or thats what im assuming they are. so its 1.5 volts all the way down cept the cpu at 1.4 which always seems fine.. i tried throwing a few volts on that also.. no help. 1066 would be nice if i can find some that works for 200 or under.. evga 680i sli/a , 8800gts 320mb 660/920, 3300 mhz e6400 conroe, mem 2.25v cpu 1.4v, fsb 1.4v, 1.5v~. all updates drivers and bios.. win xp home. ive run it at 990 loosend timings. it just doesnt seem to hit 1066 stable. any info helps peoples thanks for all the help. i think i may have found my wall. if i drop my cpu core i can get to 1066 even 1100 matbe more on the memory.. if i stay at 3300 mhz i cant get it.. im trying to drop memory i guess till i get better cooling for my cpu to oc more.. if this is the problem idk yet but seems to stablize things when i bring down my memory or core.. one has to give.. well ill keep updating post as i do this.. i seem to have found a good spot at 773 mem and 3300mhz cpu. with 4-4-4-12 timings 4-4-4-11 didnt work. im sure i can hit 900 with 5-5-5-15 timings or so.. but i think 4-4-4-12 is best for now or should i oc mem and drop cpu core any suggestions? thanks again all. corsair 1066 pc8500 ddr2
