On this same forum I posted a thread about how F.E.A.R. and some other games showed some banding. Then I read something about Farcry looking better with SM3.0 enabled (I actually tried it and it really looks much better, the banding totally disapears).
Correct me if I'm wrong (i'm not very videocard-tech savvy): the reason FarCry looks better with SM3.0 is because it uses FP32. If that's the case how can I force my card to use FP32 all the time. Is there a utility or register value I can change to force it?
I readed about 3d Analyse but I downloaded it and found nothing about FP32 (just something about "force low precision" wish I asume means forcing FP16.
Please help me, I really want to get rid of that banding. Rainbow Six vegas looks like crap on some scenes on my machine and I think it is for the very same reason.
