It was rumored that SecuRom installs a rootkit, but it actually dosent.

The Registry key, by itself comes with an asterisk (*) to warn you to not delete it, otherwise face problems with updates/playing the game.

The rootkit detector they used to "find secuRom's root kit" just put it up cause it marks all rootkits with a (*).
