Amd bought Ati and the drivers are now called amd drivers. That's the story basicly. I have Ubuntu on my pc aswell and yellow dog Linux on my PS3.
Slay, you could always download Ubuntu for example, burn it on a disc and run it from there instead of having to install it. Just to have know in future what opensource looks like and what possibilities it offers.
