I hate steam, with a passion. I'll never buy another game associated steam.
I bought Half-Life2 thru steam and I've tryed to redownload it for at least a
year now. It's not always on my mind, but I know I've tried at least 20 times.
But they have plenty of bandwidth when your buying a new game. Steam is
as close as you can get to a communist society without tatooing yourself red.
Have fun comrades, I'll be here in Hell.
