You need to subtract manufacturing, packaging, shipping, retail taxes, retailer margins, how many of those halos included consoles since they made a loss on those packages and most importantly, their massive 100 million dollar marketing blitz. I doubt that the 300 million figure actually means they have a lot of money in the end. They will make some for sure, but never enough and they already disappointed their shareholders by not reaching 200 million in the first weekend.

They spent $10mil marketing, 1/10 of your figure. They are making a boatload of money on Halo 3, and investors being 'disapointed' at the largest 1 day entertainment release in history is about as laughable as it gets.
