I am sure that the new Nvidia card will be great. However, that doesn't mean that the new 4*** series of AMD must automaticly suck. Price/performance wise amd is on the right track and they should be applauded for that.
The war isn't just about the most powerfull cards. Most people buy a entry or mid level card and ati serves them properly. I am sure that Nvidia will have the best card once again for 500-600 dollars that will allow you to run Crysis with 8xAA (it will still be a generic shooter with a story that continues to get lamer, even with 8xAA) but that doesn't mean that AMD isn't really making great products at a fair price these days.
AMD is playing it safe and boring, I must admit but so is Nvidia. The entire pc market is focussed on more GHZ and that's it. I haven't seen any real innovation in the pc world for some time now and I sure as hell haven't seen anything really worth mentioning apart from a new DX version that can only be run on a new os that takes away far more computer resources.
