It depends also on what film it is :biggrin:.
"Der Untergang" is quite good. The actor playing Hitler is worth an oscar

Just like "Platoon", to mention an American example, is good as well.
But the fact is though, that the percentage of good films out of the regional total is different. Here in Europe, the percentage is higher (I think), because here a movie is a "bit of culture". While in the States, it is a way of making people who are already richer-than-rich feel a "need" to get even wealthier. And a manner to get us some dollars/euros/whatever poorer. Some films from Hollywood are comparable with Microsoft products: their actual worth is lower than the price you are paying for it.
But Dutch films aren't that good btw, I think "we" should give up here in the Netherlands. :biggrin:
