Final Fantasy V

The game starts off with a guy being worried about a wind crystal. He hops onto his dragon, and heads for the mountain where it's kept.

Yep, something's definitely not right.

His daughter Lenna heads off in search for him, because she seems to sense trouble as well.

AMB returns once again, and you stumble across Lenna just after dodging an incoming meteor. You team up along with an old guy, who's also apparently headed for the wind crystal. His memory isn't all that great, but he's useful as a monk.

Jobs are back in Final Fantasy V, and work pretty much the same way they did before, though eventually there are more to choose from. In addition there are a bunch of abilities that you get as a character fights monsters while being in a certain job. These abilities are assigned in a menu, and can be mixed. An example from my first few hours was how I had one character play as a knight for a while, until he earned an ability that let him use a one handed weapon with both hands (for extra damage). I then bought him an axe, changed his job to normal (knights can't equip axes), and had him do pretty solid damage using the two-hand knight ability. Other examples could be a white mage with black mage abilities, a knight with summoner abilities, and so on.

We traveled through a pirate area, trying to find a ship to borrow.
