Manufacturer AMD - Thoroughbred
Model Number XP2400+
CPU Speed (MHz) 2000
Format Socket A
Now people who read P&M will know im pretty p*ssed wih this

, but i wanted to know ether Thoroughbred was any good?
and do you think i should get a 2700+? and would that be worth it? and if anyone knows the speed of a 2700+?
and if i was to Overclock the 2400+, what powerfull fan would any of you reccomend
EDIT: little more info they gave me:-
Pentalpha Ultra Quiet Socket A / 370 / 7 Heatsink & Fan up to XP2800+.
Does this meen i can clock it up to a 2800+? and still stay save, they say they havnt got any Arctic Silver 3 paste on it, hers what they said when i asked them "and do you use good quality thermal paste (ie. Artic Silver)?":-
No, the thermal pad is more than enough for this bundle, on the high end
Bartons, we would use the best
heat sink and Artic silver 3.
So would i need to apply some Artic Silver to it, to be on the safe side, or is it really just for Bartons.
