im still debating on if i want to use 32 or 64bit.. best i remember reading ms did a better job updating drivers etc and was more programs that worked with 64bit vista than was for 32bit vista.. so im leaning 64bit w7 and can use more memory etc.. faster etc etc etc. but im not sure thats true.. im still waiting for some of my vista and beta w7 buds to post on the topic..

cool.. so if i understand you right.. when i go to install.. i guess i can use my extra hdd or nuke the os on the hdd im using now.. i guess put the w7 disc in the opt drive and it will ask me to put my xp disc in.. verify maybe i will have to put the code in.. then put the w7 disc back in and good to go with w7 install.. sweet if so or something like that..

my first pc build i was running 98 and upgraded to xp. i think i put the xp disc in it installed over 98 what ever im not sure how that works exactly.. its been so long now.. i cant remember..

i was not sure if i install w7 over the xp now.. or had to do like a fresh xp install and then w7 or what.. im still a lil confused on that.. but the more easy the better.. its said w7 is a sweet os.. the betas are said better than vista ever was.. hmm i was thinking maybe a dual boot system to.. maybe xp on 1 drive and w7 on another. maybe they could share a data storage drive??. i could change up if need be and being hp and i dont think my cpu can do virtual xp or amd-v im not sure if my cpu can do it or not- so is why i was not so worried about not getting w7 pro- i was reading some on it.. but i really dont need it.. from what i understand.. most any game that runs on xp will run on vista and or w7 so. and thats not virtual either.. or is what my buds who game say and have vista or w7 betas any way..

i dont have any old programs that dont work with vista other than my stand alone zdsoft game recorder 2.0.1.0.. but the new zdsoft 3. do all desk top and game recorder does work in vista.. buts its not as good a game recorder or have the option i have with 2.0.1.0.. but i do have a full latest version of fraps and it works with vista 32 and 64bit.. and oh ya.. my free [any video converter] dont work with vista either or maybe it was will not work with 64bit os's.. but ive found other free programs that do.. i just hope they convert movies that play back as lovely as avc does [best ive seen yet]. or i will not be happy at all with w7.. all i do is game and make movies.. id rather toss it all out into the yard if i cant do either so.. i have nothing else i care or worry about as far as programs go.. some old games might not work.. but i dont have to play them either.. so..
