i would go with the intel build. (maybe amd IF you were setting it up for the phenom II, simply because it is made to run with ati, and im with the earlier post, spend alittle more but get the 4890. PowerColor makes an oC'd one at 950mhz stock. EDIT: also the 9950 is a last gen cpu, if you want the AM2+ socket go with the Denub phenom II. but from what i have seen recently the i7 is MUCH more stable in overclocking at home. Not to mention if you choose nVidia later, the i7 chipset supports both sLI and xFire, big bonus.
