I don't think there's such a thing. I'm actually Romanian...Though I live in Canada...And never watch Romanian TV shows...Anyway, I think they all suck.
Now then, yeah, gamers (they were talking about FPS players when they did that little research) so have better reflexes (in games), so better hand-eye coordination...And if you play a game like SS, you'll have very good timing, aiming and prediction also.
Anyway, parents normally believe this crap because of all the idiots in the States who go around shooting people and blaming it on games and TV. (What a load of bullshit) There are a lot more things to do on computer other than playing games and chatting. Try doing some of those other things, showing your mom that you're actually working or doing something useful and she might ease up on you.
(My mom didn't mind me buying a 9800 Pro too much since I love 3D graphics and do 3D modeling (for 2D games and my learning pleasure) and also like to play the latest games, again, mostly for the 3D graphics...I also pay for every piece of hardware I buy myself so I guess that made her mind it even less. :P)
