I liked the first Matrix, but hated the second and third installments. It probably annoys me more than anything else that it's general assumption in the U.S. that the Matrix is the first and/or best example of the question "What is reality?". One trip to the forums at
www.thematrix.com just made me lose all my faith in humanity -- or at least the little I had remaining.
Still, I'm not going to get into the many reasons I didn't like Reloaded/Revolutions (most of them referring to huge, gaping plotholes). The one question I will ask is this:
Why have mech robot suits IF THEY DON'T ACTUALLY OFFER THE PILOT ANY PROTECTION?!
