Well, I don't know how Apple is with OSX, but I used a Mac in my work with OS8 and later on OS9 and let me tell you - when it crashes, it CRASHES! MacOS is such a nice operative system that it gives the control flow to the application running and relies on its good nature to return it back to the OS

When the Mac crashes nothing works - you don't have the slightest chance to save your proggress in other applications, most of the times even the hot restart (apple, alt, ... something - forgot the what the other key was

) You can't switch it off, or even restart it from the case sometimes, cause the reset button obviously is not direct like in PCs ... you can only unplug it from the power
One time I saw the bomb symbol and asked my boss what it was :Oo: ... well, we got it to Apple Center and they gave it back in two days with half the HDD erased - my work for two weeks was deleted
Good I had partially backed it up on the server
i really hope they have done a better job with MacOSX!
EDIT: Why did I post this?
