Guys, I'm looking for a game I played as a kid. It's pretty old, but I hope the old-school gamers here could help me out.
So here's what I remember about it
Basicly it was a Game of the Roman Empire. The map included all of the Mediterranean area (including parts ofNothern Africa and East Asia) and was divided into provinces. After you got hold on one of the provinces you could either plunder it or raise troops there... you could leave a garrison force in every province to deal with invaders and rebels...
The combat screen was somewhat isometric with your army in the bottom left part of the screen and the enemy in upper right. Your troops were represented by squads of 4 or 6 soldiers and you could issue orders to each squad. There were infantry and cavalry squads and when battling Hannibal there were elephants in the enemy army.
Before the actual combat you could chose a formation for your atmy like wedge, phalanx and others... some of the squads both yours and enemy could panic and flee the battlefield and when the leader was killed half the army panicked...
I know this is not a very good descriprion, but I hope it rings the bell for someone who has played the game
So basicly what's the name of this game and where can I get it? Just the name would be enough though.
