The exclusion of tru-form was decided before the ati leak. Carmack himself said that it wouldn't work correctly with the engine, so you can't really argue with him.

ID has said several times that a simple MP feature will be included, but by the time doom 3 gets released I'm sure there will be plenty of awesome games that are only centered on MP. Sure Doom 3 has awesome graphics, but I'm pretty sure other games will be more fun in MP.
