OK, guys, I'm not really sure if this doesn't belong to the HARDWARE section, but I'll post it here anyway. Here's the deal:
Two days ago my PC broke. It got a shock from the 220V power, I guess... so, the Power supply box burned out. Tried to fix it - didn't work... so I got a new power supply to try it out.
So now, when I switch on my PC, I see the keyboard LEDs blinking one time as normal and then the DUAL BIOS logo
Athlon 1700+
512 MB RAM testing OK
and in the bottom:
Press DEL to enter setup, or pres ESC to end memory test
and then nothing - the keyboard is dead (Although I tried it on another PC - the kbd is working fine) and I can't do shit
One more thing: when I press the RESET button, the PC doesn't start at all. It just makes funny beeps once every second or so.
Any suggestions where to look for the problem?
My config:
VIA KT 400
Athlon 1700+
512 MB DDR RAM
RADEON 9000 Pro
Ah, and one last thing - when I start the PC with the HDD off it doesn't even complain that there is no system disc (you know - Primary boot disk failure shit) so the problem is somewhere before the booting part for sure
