I switched from ADSL to cable after moving here.... A switch from 1mbit to 2.2mbit... Was a pretty dramatic increase. Then my GAY isp (I hope Rogers employees ARE reading this!

decided to cut speed off for everyone down to 1.5mbit. That wasn't a nice experience. The part that I 'liked' the most about it was that they didn't inform any of their customers about the downgrading. So one day I woke up and my speed was 30% lower than usual.
After a few days I called the tech support line and they couldn't explain me anything. The best they could do was schedule an appointment with a technician. A few hours later I got a call back from the tech support guy I was speaking to, who told me that he 'just found out' they've downgraded speed for the entire Kitchener-Waterloo area. Apparently since the tech support center is located in Toronto he wasn't aware of the changes either. How gay is that? Â*
