if you've played CS:Source, you know there are some video settings that cannot be selected yet becaase they're not fully optimized or even implemented yet. I know HL2 won't be much of a graphical improvement over CS:S but it'll be like Kami said, 10% or so. alright.. 10%... not really noticable or matterable.
offline should run WORSE, yes WORSE.
Packets are easy to handle, most of it takes about .2% CPU initalization at worst
Offline has:
AI, great CPU power!
more physics, more CPU power!
larger levels, more ram, cpu, and VPU power!
Possibly more chareceters!
vechile code!
more space for memory leaks!
Larger objects!
