The virus probably hides it self and for that matter, backups itself in several locations, so even if a system restore removed the "live" copy of the virus, i think (i would do it if i were the programmer) it would be reactivated when you'd use a determined application.

My advice, go to safe mode, run the antivirus and if it still can find the files, then the virus will be succ. removed.

Use this in safe mode (yes you'll have to enter with networking) if you AV doesn't find the virus:
