the forums have been F'd up lately i can't figure it out. anyways i made this topic and here's what it should've said:
i'm sorry this is another hl2 thread but this is important. i've been fooled for quite some time now and am glad i stumbled upon this info.

what that says is that when you buy HL2 retail, you don't get DoD:S and the only way to get DOD:S is the steam packages of silver or gold. so make sure if you wanted DOD:S that you get it off steam silver cuz gold is a ripoff. stupid ass valve is so greedy i put a $5 deposite at gamestop to reserve my HL2 BEFORE these different "packages" were even told of. so i'm gonna go argue them to try and get my $5 back cuz this is BS.
sorry this is another hl2 thread but it's important because i'm sure i'm not the only one who was fooled and had i not found this out, i would've bought hl2 retail and not had dod which i want.
