Performance Improvements worth noting
Enhancements to our driver's internal memory management bring significant benefits to 64MB and 128MB framebuffer configurations in Catalyst™ 5.7.

The resulting performance gains are most apparent in high resolution, everything on modes, when running applications that use a significant amount of graphics memory. Examples include:

5-15% gains in 3DMark05 on some products
20-60% gain in Far Cry Regulator across multiple settings
25-60% gains in Half-Life 2 at 1600x1200 4xAA 8xAF
40-60% gains in UT2004 at 1600x1200 6xAA 16xAF
50-100% improvement in Comanche4 at 1600x1200 6xAA 16xAF
50-200% gains in certain ShaderMark tests at high resolution

No probs,I havn't used the omega's or dna's for a while infact i forgot about em,prob coz i aint played cod mp for a while(omega's pwned the catalysts at least by 15fps with my old 9800pro)i'll be sure to keep my eye open for the modded 5.7's thanks for the heads up :thumbup:

The 5.7 drivers SUCK ASS. I was using them yesterday, playing HL2, CSS, UT2004, BF2 Demo, and I noticed SIGNIFICANT fps reduction from the previous 5.6 Omega drivers. I reverted back to them now, they are MUCH MUCH better. Stick with the Omega 5.6 till Omega 5.7 is what I say. GL ;)

True,Just tryed omega 5.6 they do indeed pwn the catalyst 5.7,cat 5.7 are pretty disapointing on my rig :(
Either stick with cat 5.6 or even better(as matreox pointed out)grab omega 5.6.

I might not just be me, but these 5.7s blow. the FSAA visual quality is butchered. 4X looks worse than 2X did with the 5.6s. Anyone else having this issue?

It seems everyone with the omega drivers has the same problems. Just roll the driver back and welcome the forums!

I never had problems whatsoever with the original catalysts. Also 5.7 works great for me (X800XL).

dudes why havent you told me about em b4! lol the 5.6 omega ones worked a dream BF2 cranked up full AA runs a dream now thanks guys :thumbup:

Hmmm...these 5.7 were meant to fix the shadow bugs on BF2...Can you install omega 5.6 over any drivers? at the moment i have the cat 5.6 .
