I have about $340 US dollars :P and I was wondering should I get a better Video card from my GeForce 5700 to somthing else or get more ram? I have two 256 DDR cards now I was thinking I could get a 512 maybe 2 of them if I need it. But still...one or the other.
Ideas?

EDIT: I'm looking up 6600's are they any different then 6800? Becuase I can't really spend all my money in one basket. :crybaby:
6600 is not as good as the 6800, but still a decent card...problem with Video cards is that you have to buy top of the line when you buy, because otherwise it will be crap in a few months ;) So spend as much money as you can ;)

would 6600 in 2 years be crap? when i get to the Us I might not get DSL so... I prolly wont be able to play BF2 online for a bit. :crybaby: But when I go for vacation in Taiwan I get about $200 US for seeing my aunts and uncles so I could buy another vid card after that :P B)

Newegg and Zipzoomfly are good. I just got myself a 6800GT and can vouch for that, though Im only expecting it to last me about a year or so. It should play next years games with no problem however. 6600 would be slightly limited over the next year i would think.
6800GTs bout $285 atm. The next step up jumps to over $400 with the 6800Ultra and X850XT-PE, which maybe not as good value for money seeing as they're already dated!
It depends what games are you're wanting to play neodudet?? Also, some dont like to run anything less than full res and highest settings, whilst others dont care as long as it runs! :D

Get a Vanilla 6800GT, you can even play Splinter cell 2 at 12800x1024 resolution.

I'm trying to play BF2 with medium settings, and since I play in Taiwan I always get 300 ping when im the only one using the internet. almost 1k when my dads checking the email(I don't live in my parents basement :P im 14 sheesh) so I have to set everything off or low and have res at 800*600 at 60fps. Well... im playing FPS at the moment or games like Age of Myth, C&C, and racing games. So im not in the need of bleeding edge tech. right now I can get a 6600 and be satisfied. Now my father wants 1 month old tech. He spent at least $1500 US within one month and he spends $50 on me   . So ya Im not need 6800 I can wait

Yea, 6800GT will be great for running the highest settings, but the 6600GT should be enough too.
Here's a comparison of loadsa cards running some benchies...

A 6600GT should set you back ~$150
