I just got into terragen and it's really quite awesome.
Aint yet making these kind of images:

I used a product like terragen years ago that supported foilage. This is terragens only downfall. There are sites dedicated to paintbrush tips and tubes for paintshop pro that allow you to add foilage, but its done by hand and requires a lot patience.

Also to get decent final renders you require decent anti-aliasing enabled in the software renderer. You have to get the full product to enable it and at hi-res it significantly increases the amount of rendering time.

The software of choice is Vue d'Esprit, currently at version 5 I think. However Digital Arts where giving away a FREE copy if it sometime ago... might be worthwhile googling it! :)

Nice landscapes, me remembers the beginning of this kinda progs and they have come a long way baby! :thumbup:

that terragen render you posted, I knew there was no way you could've done that. Not for a beginner. That work up there is absolutely amazing as far as terragen goes
