How to loose money, X-Box!

Microsoft expects to lose US$750 millions in the current fiscal year to Xbox, which is around 91 billion yen or 773 millions Euro. Furthermore, Microsoft expects to lose US$1.1 billion to Xbox in the next fiscal year, which is around 134 billion yen or 1.13 billion Euro. Currently the manufacturing cost for Xbox is US$325, Microsoft is losing $150 per console sold at US$199.

Just quoting, though I hope the manufacturing cost is not $325 for real, if all this is true, people buying hundred x-box may lead microsoft to failure http://www.gamershell.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ... no way ...

Microsoft has so much money that they can afford to lose tons of money in the first round in order to make their mark in the console market. Almost sickening sometimes.
