I'm running Win98se and IronStorm runs A-OK.
Two 800MHz P3 CPU
512 SDRAM
Geforce2 MX 32MB
Audigy OEM
Abit VP6 mobo
The problem is I can't get horizontal movement with the mouse. I'm using a USB Logitech optical wheel mouse. The game is interpreting wheel movements as horizontal. Wheel up is left and wheel down is right.
Another wierd thing is during the control configuration I found I have to press SPACE twice in order for the game to recieve my new key. For example if I wanna change shoot from LEFT-CLICK to 'F' I gotta press SPACE, SPACE and then press 'F'. Don't games normally use ENTER or LEFT-CLICK or something to do a change?
The third oddity is the current weapon icon keeps flashing to other icons. This bug I can live with.

Crunch, So it installed OK and runs OK (except for the problems you mentioned)? Hmm, I use W98SE and have 512 MB RAM, just wondered why it worked for you and not for me. Other guy,is that kind of language really necessary? And it's a free download, so whats the complaint? http://www.gamershell.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Crunch, just read the description of the demo and you will see that there are problems with optical mouse...I guess the only way to fix this is to use a 'standard' mouse http://www.gamershell.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
As for the other 'elite' guy who complains about this demo:
1) It's free and nobody forces you to download it. Unlike G*Spot and other sites, we don't ask you to pay to get it.
2) Of course, it's still *beta* since the full game won't be released before end october. And, in my opinion, it's much better to release a demo - even with lots of bugs - and try to correct them BEFORE the game gets released, rather than releasing the whole game and try to fix it later with tons of patches.

Hey all. Can a Admin or moderator merge this thread into an existing IronStorm thread? I didn't mean to start a new IronStrom thread until after I after I clicked "New Topic". I was really ticked after playing the game and wasn't in the right frame of mind. Good thing I don't own a gun.
Or better yet change the Topic from "Mouse movement" to "Another IronStorm thread" or something.
Thanks in advance guy/gal.
For all those unhappy with IronStorm go try Battlefield 1942 multiplayer demo. Now that's an awesome game. Network code still needs more work tho. But awesome game none the less.
