Xbox 360 Giveaway!

Yes you heard me right. Gamers Hell is proud to present an Xbox 360 giveaway. Yes, I know it is April fools day but, this is no joke. To enter, post a video or screenshot of your best trick/run on Amped 3. Easy enough don't ya think? Due to the magnitude of the prize, this contest will last until May 1rst. This should give you plenty of time to get your entries just right. There will be two winners: First place receives the 360, second place will receive a prize pack that includes: Amped 3 game and a Yamaha-branded hat and tshirt. Quality is not a real big issue here. As long as I can see it. So don't think it has to be perfect.

Edit: You may now enter actuall footage of you snowboarding. I know some of ya have vacation footage or something and also the second place winner now has Yamaha branded backpack, roller bag, tshirt and zip front sweatshirt included in the prize pack.

As cow has shown it is not that hard to make a vid. Like I said, it does not have to be perfect. I would also bet there is a way to capture vids/screenies having the 360 hooked up to the pc. I will look into that later today.

Now to reply to some of your concerns:

2 The have one to win one thing. Now some of you have to know a freind or someone that has one. How hard is it to rent Amped 3 and take a pic? I don't care if you goto walmart or bestbuy and play it on thier systems as long as you are the one playing.

Yeah, I am most often just here for the contests. For discussion, I gotta admit I prefer GS because of its game-specific boards. And I'm not one for the rants in Kindergarten. Just to ask, how many tries did it take you? Because the transitions and stuff between the jumps are all very smooth...it seems like you must have practiced that run a whole bunch of times. And did you know that glitch thing would happen?

Well I had ran the jump several times before to get a feel for it :P, didn't want to stumble around lol.

As far as the odd grinding experience there I had no idea that would happen, when I saw the replay I laughed though because if a real snowboarder would have done that (guy at least) it would have hurt like hell! :lol: :lol:

Right now, I just unlocked the upper section, so I'm gonna head over there and see what kind of sick stuff I can pull off. :D

As for you DD31, I would just go to Bestbuy or Walmart or Ebgames and have someone take a picture of you pulling off a mad trick...If not that many people enter you still have a shot at the amped game or even first place if its good enough.

I'm in New Jersey. I didn't think of that...I've got Spring Break coming up, so I might give that a shot. I'll have to find one with the game on display, though...it's worth a shot, and a lot better than nothing.
I'll just have to hope that all the places haven't replaced Amped with something else by now...

No seriously, its not like im poor or anything. It is because I am going off to college next year and right now I have to save up for a laptop for college so Im selling my PC soon to pay for that. Xbox 360 is out of the question but my entry its pretty good so maybe thatll help. :D

I&#39;m very very suspicious about that vid, I&#39;m thinking it was using Low Gravity, I will investigate myself and show differences see if it is true or not. No offense fycus, but You were dropping slow and the other ones just went straight passed you real fast.

Also when the cpu&#39;s passed me I was doing tricks and you move slower on the ground when you are doing a butter (manual) .

Cow, I talked to my friend and he said something about the Valle (the 3rd mountain) and the run/snow quest is called Pillows.

Well folks, all I can say is wow...Fycus you really did a good job.

How he got 11 million points is quite debatable...Because I have been playing this game All day, and I am not bad at it, but my score comes no where near that amount...Whether there was cheating or not, I will give you the benefit of the doubt...
All I ask is that contest should be more structured... :angel:

Hopefully monkey will judge this on how cool the video is, and I think he will because he is a smart guy and good with prizes.

Ok here&#39;s what I found out, I think that fycus was using superspin cheat. Now, the parts I see him spinning really fast are, in the beginning when going on the pole, jumping off the pole, one on the last griding mountain where I see him spin 3 times on a lil jump, when I can only 3 spins in a long jump. Now Compare that to mine, or the first vid, you can see the in the part where I&#39;m in Northstar mountain, I am jumping off the cables and I only spun 3 times. Ridiculous huh? Now I dont even get that much multipliers either but he does.

1000th POST, I did not cheat jesus por cristo&#33; Look spriggan you can even see in your video that just a touch of the thumbstick causes you to turn very easily. When you see my video my character spins very slowly but has enough time in the drop to barely pull off a flip and a spin. You also spin faster after you jump, if you look at my video if i jump on flat ground the most I can do is a 180, and a 360 off of a smaller jump. In your video your char spins much faster and easier. I don&#39;t know about the multipliers but there is no cheat for them so I dont know where you are going with that... Again, I did not cheat.

No actually my char spins slow in my vid, Mine makes more of a 90 degree turn in small jumps when you can do 180&#39;s and 360&#39;s in a small jump, but like I said prove me and cow wrong and I will agree. Then again who would admit that they are cheating? Pffttt I wouldnt.

I am starting to think you are angry about nothing. If you seriously pay close attention to both videos your char twitch spins like the sensitivity is on super high. I have already proved myself in my earlier post. I can only do a spin of a 360 degree if I jump or switch stances and jump, and this is only if I go off a small bump in the snow. On flat ground I can only do a 180 off of a jump, and in your video you char can do a 360 degree spin off of flat ground. I spent 5 hours at my friends house on friday to make this, without cheats, please stop accusing me and practice more.

No I played this game since the day it came out. My friend Chris and I played it for 5 hours trying to get the highest score possible on the best run in the game. He suggested that run and we practiced until we got the best score.

If anybody wants to talk to me about my legitimate video please feel free to grill and question me. If you want to get a higher scoring combo, heres a tip: do different tricks. just tap buttons in different combinations. For example, double tap Y and hold it for a second to get some points, then tap X, Y, A to do a more difficult move. It really depends on what tricks you&#39;ve unlocked thus far in the game as to what tricks you can pull off. Do three or four different tricks and you should get a hefty combo thatll bring up your score.
