Venture the Void is an Online Space Exploration Game That Doesn't Take Itself Too Seriously. Zip around the galaxy wreaking havoc as one of the four traditional spacefaring classes (Hero, Pirate, Illuminati and Janitor) while you hunt down a relic for an ancient godlike entity. There's quite a bit more to it than this, but you'll have to find out.
Featuring rock solid gameplay, expansive, autogenerated universes, and one continuous space environment panning all the way out from rocks and bushes to interstellar space, Venture the Void is what space adventures always should have been: open.
***SO NOW, SPACEFARERS, THE CONTEST RULES!***
1. Open to any and all GH forum members, including staff and their snot-nosed kids and spouses and whatnot, but they are probably all too busy running the site to actually win. =)
2. Contest runs from midnight Friday, April 13 until midnight Friday, April 27. That's TWO WHOLE WEEKS.
3. After that period, the top 3 highest scores IN THE CONTEST GAME, as well as the first 5 to complete the game world (if, indeed, any can manage) will have their trial account upgraded to lifetime paid member. If you get a top 3 score AND finish the game world, you don't get an extra paid account for doing both, just one prize. Sorry!
4. Global scores (i.e., XP earned if you play in any other games) will not count towards your total. You can play in other games but only the contest game has any effect at all on this contest.
5. Extended trial accounts given out so you can participate in the contest will revert to ordinary trial accounts with one hour play time at the end of the contest! Sorry!

1. Prepare yourself psychologically for space-oriented trauma.
2. Sign up at VentureTheVoid.com (http://www.venturethevoid.com) for your free trial account.
3. Post a message in this forum topic with your VentureTheVoid.com username.
4. Your account will be upgraded in a few days to a special extended trial account lasting the duration of the contest. Feel free to play in other games until the contest starts, or during.
5. You will be invited to the private "Official GamersHell Contest" which will be created on Friday the 13th. This game will take place in a new game world, released also on Friday.
6. Join this game, create a character, and rack up as many points as you can before the 27th.
7. You may create as many characters as you like, but only one free paid account will be awarded per player, so you might as well concentrate on one of them.
***HOW TO WIN!***
1. You get XP for killing monsters. There are a lot of monsters to kill, as well as certain boss enemies which give great points. Monsters respawn, but there are a limited number of
2. There is also a way you can convert money to XP directly.
3. You lose XP for dying.
4. You need in-game money to do just about anything, and you get money... about a million different ways. The name of the game is to get creative.
5. You should practice in other game worlds before the contest begins. Jump right in, I will check this thread as often as I can to upgrade accounts.
