A little bit about the game:
It's a retro style 2d shooter that plays sort of like Pacman. The story is influenced by Portal and Inception. You really need to try it to get it :)

Welcome to GH! Nice to see more indy devs showing up.

I have only played the first level so, I am not really sure how the game will progress. Maybe a better description would help.
Will try to play more tomorrow though. :D

Yeah Nxs,
You are totally right about needing to add more info. Initially I didn't want to do that because I wanted people to play the game and kind of make their own conclusions about it. I actually put a lot of thought into the ideas I wanted to convey with the game, but I didn't want to force players to think like I did. Instead I hoped they would come to the right conclusions on their own.

Aaaand that didn't happen at all. What I found after letting some people play it was that they totally ignored all the tiny details and hint I dropped and focused only on the game play. Which, I admit, is mediocre at best.

So now I am back to explain what the game is actually about and the ideas behind why it is the way it is.

The story is that you are a volunteer assisting the Pel Company in testing some new brain computer interface, but they are sort of vague about what exactly it is. As you progress you get the feeling your not just participating in some sort of "simulation", but actually interacting with another living person. Furthermore your interaction doesn't seem to be entirely pleasant for the other party. Each level represents a base fear that we all have. They start off simple with things like bugs and snakes then progress into more abstract concepts. I came up with the idea while watching Inception for the third time. The plan was to eventually sneak in a dream within a dream joke, but that never really fit in and I didn't want to force it.

Hope this helps!

It does help and I am glad you replied. I have not really had the time to play again yet as it has been a busy damn day, but I will do so in the next few days and post my thoughts here. I hope! :D

At first I didn't realize I was actually playing a game until the maze part. Nice idea, abstractness aside!

Just recently fixed the controls for the games. WAY easier to play now. Also faster.
