RIAA taking candy for little girls

Well not really but,i just read something funny about the RIAA suing a 12yr old little girl,
Some of the main things she wa downloading to, by what the article says is nursery rhymes and tv show jingles,With the occasional mariah carrey and christina aguleria.if they actually continue with this suit,what do you think will happen, RIAA has already stated they they are trying to lose the iron fist image,that they have already got.

RIAA is only worried about #1, both the organization and the fat cat record label execs making millions and millions year after year. Bands could make buttloads of money just touring, merchandizing etc. But there might not be as much left over for all the parasites associated with the labels who are in fact the vaunted "RIAA" So they might have to drive a custom navigator instead of the mercedes or porsche turbo they are used to. Cry me a river,leeches..

Imagine bands hire the press plant to print 2-3 million discs, whatever..then start touring furiously, distributing cds at each concert, hire a mailing house to ship a copy to most djs that might play them to pump up demand for concert tickets, for those that cannot attend a concert, sell "official cds" through a band web-site...of course thats all pretty simplistic but you get the gist. Point is the whole world with few exceptions have been in recession and companies/governments have been downsizing,eliminating and changing to meet the new fiscal realities, it's high time the RIAA/labels begin doing the same...IMHO

Update: The girls family has settled the suit against them for $2000 dollars, $2 for each song RIAA said that she was illegaly sharing

I think it is a publicity stunt to scare ppl! Who sues a 12 year old honor student thats listing to nursery rymes?? Then settles for 2k in a day? And that apology could not have been more scripted! This is the kinda of crap that will keep making cd sales go down and the RIAA more evil :D

For those of you that do not get Tech TV, I have something for you! They showed a little program to stop the RIAA from tracking you on KAZAA and programs like it! Tis called Peer Guardian and you can find it at their site www.techtv.com. Tis not a guaranteed stop, but it will help :D

Hey Dennis, you also have those "smoke friendly" B & Bs dont you? I was born in Northern BC but gave up my citizenship to get a SS card when I was young(did a commercial for McDonalds and they would&#39;nt pay me without a SS #) Always loved going back up to visit/honeymoon. Seemed almost crime free in Victoria, city that size down here has gangs, graffitti, daily murders etc. Got scolded for lighting a cigarette by a little girl at an outdoor cafe. LOL I felt like a criminal. You also have aspirins w/codeine over the counter, my wife loved that part. Hope they keep the border porous tho, the " medicine " from BC is the s**t&#33;
