As some of you may know, I have a modded PS2 (Huge laughter from all around, and cries of "it&#39;s your own damn fault" yes, yes, I know.)

Anyway, now I think my laser&#39;s buggered beyond all recognition, so I may have to go out and buy a new one, but I still want to get it modded, for development purposes of course.
Anyone recommend, for development purposes, a superior chip to the Magic III, which won&#39;t destory my laser?

Oh, and I&#39;m accepting donations towards a new PS2, if anyone&#39;s feeling kind enough

I dont see how claiming you use your ps2 for development purposes makes it alright to modify your ps2. Why dont you get the the linux kit allows you to use it as a development unit?

Doesn&#39;t matter now, anyway. I unplugged the whole thing, threw it on my bed, plugged it back in again, and it spluttered into life. Playing XGRA as we speak.
