I saw a video review of it at gamespot.com today. They seemed to liked it, but to me it sort of seemed dull and gray. Anyone tried it?

Well, I've just played it for about 2 hours and it isn't really dull and gray. If you're lookin' for something original, you'd better avoid this game, because it's just another clone of Heroes of Might and Magic. But if you like this type of turn-based strategy game, then Disciples 2 is worth a look. The gfx aren't bad, but the resolution is limited to 800x600 (no way to change this). The spell effects (in combat mode) are particularly well done and the ambient music is pretty good (altough a bit repetitive after a while).
If you wanna make your own opinion, you can always grab the demo and see for yourself...and don't forget to check the screenshots in our gallery http://www.gamershell.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Can't add much. I thought it was a little boring from time to time. Don't think it's woth a buy with all the good games commin out, but it sure is a good choice on turnbased strategy!
